Our second pumpkin patch trip of the season!

Every year we spend a day at Bauman Farms in Gervais, Oregon. This year we were thrilled to find that they added several new activities!

Tyler, Sarah and Tori as we entered Bauman Farms

The spider was our greeter!
Our first stop was the petting zoo. Tori above with the pigs.
Ryan with a pony
Tori with the goats

Sarah with a couple of calves. Later a large cow came up and tried to eat her hair. Apparently it resembles hay!
Ryan, Tori and Sarah with some baby goats.

Our next stop was a barn that uses these HUGE pipes as vibrating slides!

The kids just fly down. Sarah's eyes were closed the whole way down.

Sarah in a huge sandbox filled with corn!

Sarah burying a toy pony in the corn.

The entry to the gift and produce shop!

Tons of tiny pumpkins!
Sarah loved them!
A huge selection of gourds!

One of the store shelves in the gift shop
Tyler, Ryan and Sarah testing out the log swing!
An umbrella like topiary of petunias!

A huge hay pirate ship that was two stories. The bottom is a little maze, then you go up stairs to the bow and to exit you slide down a huge pipe slide.
Each of the big bales of hay were 1000 pounds.

Another view of the Bauman Pearl Ship
The boys looking out from the bow!

We had lunch in the garden gazebo

Then it was off to the hayride, Tyler and Ryan above.

They dropped us off at the corn maze. Little Sarah was having a blast running down the paths.

Our last stop was a helicopter ride for Ryley and I!

Getting buckled
And we were off into the blue sky!

View from the helicopter. Far upper left is the corn maze, upper right is parking lot, middle left is the activities including the pirate ship, middle right is the gardens and lower section is the gift shop, apple cider warehouse, etc.

The corn maze..you can kind of make out it is a pirate ship.

The pumpkin patch from the air. If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you can see all of the pumpkins!

Coming in for a landing!
Matt took this photo of the helicopter landing!
Almost to the ground safe and sound (notice there are no doors!!)

Our week

Just some quick highlights of the week!
Ryley ran in his second cross country tournament in the 2000 meters and came in 7th out of 24 6th grade boys. He came in 3rd place for his Canby team! Way to go Ryley!
Brandon's football team played Wilsonville and lost. Brandon was on starting defense and played defensive guard for the entire game.
Ryan's football team played Lake Oswego and they also lost. Ryan played starting quarterback and outside linebacker on defense.

We found the first signs of fall in our tree in the back yard!!!
Most important....Tyler FINALLY lost his front tooth! He was the only 3rd grader that hasn't lost all of his front teeth! Man was he excited, and so was the tooth fairy!
